Faith & the Eyes (tears) of the Lord

Many times, as I am waking up (right when my alarm clock goes off) – I will hear something being said – in my dreams, in my spirit, in my mind. Today it was clear as can be – “Now Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1). Initially this caused me to think “oh no. What is God going to take away or have me do that will require a lot of faith?!” But then I decided to ask my Daddy above instead! . . . He didn’t really tell me . . . nothing specific anyways. But later in my time with Him, He did tell me some other things – … Read entire article »

Shifting my armies – Big battle coming

I have been feeling strongly lately that I am supposed to share this word now. In a conversation with God back on October 16th, 2009 – I was asking Him about certain prophetic words that had been coming out about attacks on the US. This is what I feel He told me to write down . . . Hear me on this Lori. There IS coming a day that will be painful – not only for the United States, but other nations as well. This is not about the U.S., or about the other nations. It’s about me. There is a war going on that you cannot see, that has been escalating for years now. It … Read entire article »

Pull back the curtains!

I feel like God wants me to share with you a recent conversation with Him (2/4/10). This is a word – not only for us as individuals – but for the church as a whole. Here it is . . . L – Ok God. Here I am – ready to write. What did you want me to write? What did you want to say? G – Listen carefully. What do you hear? L – Physically or spiritually? G – Spiritually L – Peace, joy, love, patience, kindness . . . 🙂 The fruit of the spirit. G – Yes – but what else? L – (open my ears Lord) Rain? G – What kind of rain? L – Gentle rain – like a gentle spring rain … Read entire article »

Glass? . . . FAIL! Me? . . . PASS!

“You cannot always help what happens TO you, but you can help what happens IN you.” “The kingdom WITHIN you will become the kingdom AROUND you.” “You are not a product OF your environment, but you are a product of the WAY YOU RESPOND to your environment.” – Kris Vallotton These were the words that I starred and underlined in my notes last night as we listened to Kris Vallotton speak about “The Process of Developing People”. He had so many good things to say – about making mistakes/failing (not morally), understanding that when we work with people – it will be messy, how to develop the structures (prepare the “soil”) within us so that our spirit will accept the teaching (“seed”) God places in our life, and so much more. In fact – … Read entire article »

What are you feeding?

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life: “A fight is going on inside of me,” he said to the boy.“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is guilt, rensentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. This same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.” The grandson though about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?“ The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.” – American Indian Proverb Which one are YOU feeding today? Set up for a Miracle?

“The first step in a miracle is difficulty . . . for a GREAT miracle . . . it’s IMPOSSIBILITY!” Are you set up for a miracle? For a GREAT miracle?! . . . then give thanks! (I know that seems to go against all you’ve been taught, been shown, or ever known . . . but it’s biblical!) James 1:2 – Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, Phillipains 4:6&7 – Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Don’t you want that? Peace . . . . that surpasses anything you … Read entire article »

ARISE Bride of Christ!

At our church’s morning prayer – Pictures during worship: God and I walking arm in arm. Instead of me being on a “leash” (where God never lets go of me, but gives me freedom to wander) walking separately from God, or even walking hand in hand – we were walking arm in arm (I was on his left side). This way he was able to support me – keep me from falling if I started to trip on a rock or … Read entire article »

Sick of hearing about God?

After having, what I thought was, a meaningful conversation about God with several of our kids a couple nights ago – our 5 year old said to us very seriously – “Mom . . . can you stop talking about God all the time? It is making me sick!” I have to admit – my husband and I laughed. My daughter didn’t find it funny. She also didn’t see our point of view – to put herself in God’s shoes . . . what if we said the same thing about her? . . . “Honey – can you please stop talking about our daughter. It’s making me sick!” How would that make her feel? (To her defense – she was quite tired and cranky … Read entire article »
